Effective communication in the workplace refers to the ability to convey information, ideas, and opinions in a clear, concise, and impactful manner. It involves both verbal and nonverbal cues, active listening, and adapting communication styles.

There are a variety of reasons for which effective communication in the workplace is unsuccessful, which in turn causes employees to have a harder time meeting expectations and deadlines which then leads to employees losing self-confidence, a drop in job satisfaction, and a significant rise in job disinterest.
Ineffective communication may be as a result of one or more of the following barriers: physical, perceptual, emotional, cultural, language, gender, and interpersonal.
The professional development communication training course delves into the following characteristics required for effective communication: clear, concise, concrete, correct, coherent, complete, and courteous.
