Mary Prince Legacy Virtual Tour

In recognition of Bermuda's Emancipation holiday, and renaming the second day of Cupmatch, to Mary Prince Day,  we invite you to join us for the Mary Prince Virtual Tour.

Presented by Rashida Godwin of Titan Express, the one hour presentation will share the Mary Prince story  and her contribution toward Emancipation in Bermuda.  
 

The virtual tour via Zoom will include:

• A review of Mary Prince's contribution to Emancipation, the start of her life in Bermuda and her final years.
• Significant residences and landmarks across the island, connected to Mary Prince, including:
  • School Lands Cottage    
  • Watlington Residence 
  • Murrell's Vale
  • Waterville 
• An exploration of the Emancipation Act
• Discussion of how Emancipation contributes towards the annual Cupmatch Cricket Game
